PROPRIETARY AND CONFIDENTIAL TO PMC-SIERRA, INC., AND FOR ITS CUSTOMERS' INTERNAL USE 5 PM7326 S/UNI-APEX RELEASE NOTES PMC-991578 ISSUE 2 S/UNI-APEX DRIVER 3 TESTING STATUS OF THIS RELEASE All S/UNI-APEX device driver Application Programming Interface (API) functions have been tested in-house using the PM7326 on a proprietary PMC-Sierra, Inc. validation platform running VxWorksTM RTOS. Example code has been included in this release, demonstrating interoperability with this hardware and operating system. Currently, there are no known bugs in this release. However, the customer is advised that this software has not yet received widespread use and testing outside PMC-Sierra, Inc. PROPRIETARY AND CONFIDENTIAL TO PMC-SIERRA, INC., AND FOR ITS CUSTOMERS' INTERNAL USE 6 PM7326 S/UNI-APEX RELEASE NOTES PMC-991578 ISSUE 2 S/UNI-APEX DRIVER 4 WHAT'S NEW IN THIS RELEASE? Release-1.0: This release has the following changes since beta-1.0 release: Additions: 1. New API functions to update direction thresholds, port thresholds, class thresholds, connection thresholds, class scheduler parameters, WFQ connection weight and shaping parameters for shaped connections. 2. Multicasting support for cells/frames. 3. New API functions to install and reset multicast callback function. 4. Added a compiler switch APX_CSW_CHK_OVERRIDE. When this switch is defined at compile time, the driver does not check the device id of the chip. Modifications: 1. Changed the apexCellBufTest function in the file apx_api2.c so that the function can be invoked in all states of the device. 2. In the SAR module we now check that the indication callback function pointers are not null pointers before invoking them. 3. Updated the class teardown procedure in qeApexClassDisable function in file apx_qe.c to reflect the changes in the Issue 2 of the APEX H/W programmers guide. (PMC-991454) Bug Fixes: 1. Fixed a bug in the qeIsConnShaped function in file apx_qe.c; the mask should be calculated using APX_PRT_CL_REC_C0_SHP_MSK instead of APX_PRT_CL_REC_C3_SHP_MSK 2. Fixed a bug in the apx_defs.h file; the maximum value of the APX_MAX_SHP_RT_RATE should be 0x1FF instead of 0xFF. 3.
